A Floodplain Development Permit is required for development within mapped flood hazard areas to ensure compliance with FEMA and Borough floodplain regulations.
Review is required if:
- Your property is located within a mapped flood zone.
- You are constructing, improving, or placing a structure in a flood hazard area.
- You are grading, filling, or altering land or watercourses within the floodplain.
Floodplain review may be required in addition to a Zoning Permit.
Review Process:
- Application Submission
- Review of flood zone designation
- Elevation data review (if applicable)
- Compliance Determination
Application Materials:
- Completed floodplain development application
- To scale site plan
- Elevation certificate (if applicable)
- Construction details
- Other documentation as necessary
